The Green Line, with the free phone number 177, is a confidential and secure service aimed at all people who are in a moment of vulnerability. Through this device they can find psycho-emotional support and guidance on the existing resources in the country in mental health. However, this service assesses the level of suicide risk and,In the event of imminent or ongoing suicide, the appropriate emergency services are activated.
Like the rest of Esperança en Línia's services, the Green Line offers telephone support 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and is staffed by volunteers selected, trained and supervised by professionals in the field of mental health. and we have the tools and training to respond to these types of calls.
Who can call the 177 Green Line?
- This service only operates in Andorra.
- The Green Line serves people who express suicidal ideation or behavior.
- It also responds to people in situations of imminent or ongoing suicide and, if necessary, the emergency services.
- They can contact them. people worried about someone in their environment that manifests these types of ideas and behaviors.
- It also offers emotional support for suicide survivors, that is, people who have lived the death by suicide of a loved one or someone close to them immediate.
Green Line 177 was launched on September 10, 2024, coinciding with World Suicide Prevention Day. It is a project promoted and funded by the Government of Andorra and is part of the Comprehensive Plan for Mental Health and Addictions (PISMA) of Ministry of Health of Andorra.
