2. Purposes of data processing
The “Emotional support chat for young people” service processes personal data
for the following purposes:
- Provide the service to guarantee you a more personal treatment;
- Communicate this data to the emergency systems, organizations or public administrations competent for the matter, if necessary as a result of the content of the conversation and at the discretion of the person who is guiding you;
- Prepare statistics on the provision of the service (in this case, the data will be anonymized and it will not be possible to identify people).
3. Legitimate bases
The processing of your personal data is covered by:
- Your consent: if you are 14 years of age or older, or to be able to process data relating to your health; sex life or sexual orientation; ethnic or racial origin; trade union membership; political opinions; genetic or biometric data, etc.
- The execution of contractual measures: those derived from the acceptance of the conditions of this service.
4. Minors
The service is intended exclusively for young people aged 14 and over. If the person guiding you detects or senses that you are under 14, they will stop the conversation.
5. Recipients of the information
The information you provide during the conversation may be communicated to:
- Emergency services in your geographical area;
- Public bodies or administrations that are competent due to the matter in question;
- Public or private entities that the person guiding you considers can help you.
6. Rights of the user
You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, deletion and portability of your data, of limitation and opposition to its processing, as well as not to be subject to decisions based solely on the automated processing of your data, and to revoke your consent at any time -without this affecting the legality of the processing prior to revocation-, when proceeding before the Foundation at Av. Portal de l'Àngel, 7, principal 2.A (08002 -Barcelona) or at secretaria@telefonoesperanza.comYou have the right to file a complaint with the competent control authority and to obtain more information about your right to data protection you can go to the Spanish Data Protection Agency.
7. Retention of personal data
The chat conversations you initiate will be kept for a period of 5 years; after this time, they will be anonymized and it will no longer be possible to identify the people attended to. Exceptionally, we will keep blocked those conversations that are necessary as evidence in a police investigation and/or legal proceedings.
8. Reservation of rights
We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy unilaterally and without prior notice. For this reason, we recommend that you consult it regularly.
In the event that the chat is repeatedly used inappropriately or for purposes other than those for which the service was intended, the Foundation reserves the right to block the telephone number from which this inappropriate use has been made, after informing the user.
